I needed to find replacement lighting for a loft with a vaulted ceiling. The lighting was to be placed above a double door that leads to the master bedroom. When I bought these lights, they had to meet criteria for the space they were to be installed. The criteria I was looking for since the lights were to be placed about 9 feet above the floor was: 1) They needed to be at least 12 inches in length to have any presence above a door on a 12 foot high wall. 2) They needed to be hardwired since they would be connected to a wall switch. 3) They needed to be minimalistic to decrease surfaces that would need dusting. Getting up on a ladder to clean them wouldn't be my idea of a good time. 4) Since the lights were to be placed so high, down light would work best to light the loft area. 5) Since vent covers and wall switch covers are bronze, I wanted the lights to be bronze.I really loved these lights and they met all of my criteria except I would have liked them to be a bit taller, they didn't provide down lighting, and the glass piece in the front would have to be cleaned on both sides while standing on a tall ladder. Although I return these lights when I found a pair that met all of my criteria at a much higher price, I wouldn't hesitate to buy these lights again for a different room. If placed at eye level, they would look truly elegant in a bedroom, hallway, or bathroom.Even though these lights didn't work for my current application, I would definitely recommend them. They are easy to install with current wiring, and can use up to a 60 watt bulb which would supply plenty of lighting for any area.I hope this review was helpful for you.I saw these at Home Depot and really really wanted them but they were like 50 or $70 apiece I don’t really remember so I put in the name of found them on Amazon in the warehouse for like 40 bucks for two of them my husband installed them they look fabulous but they definitely are not very high-quality you can just feel that their cheaply made but who cares once it’s up on the wallI had thought these where corded, my mistake. But I corded them myself and was relatively easy to do. They look great for what I wanted them for.Easy to install, comes with hardware, recommend upgrading lightbulb to less orange bulb and getting 2700k LED, otherwise fantastic valueMounting screws are too short requiring some “engineering “ to make work.Bulbs furnished are also 40 watt and very dim. I had to replace them immediately to get enough light.I spent a long time looking for the right sconces to replace the 100 W incandescent fake brass and opaque white that came with the house. There were a few for $300 or more a pair that I liked, but decided to try these. I installed them with no modification to existing wall supports and they look beautiful. They dimly light our bedroom and create a nice mood for sex or sleep.Très beau duo de murales ☺️Bonne qualité prix ?!
