The lights are really pretty once all set up. My only complaint would be that the remote doesn’t really work, I press buttons and I’m not sure it’s actually changing anything since the off button doesn’t actually turn them off. I also wish the tail plug was a normal outlet shape. Was a bit confusing when hanging because it was either tangled or zip tied in the wrong place and the lights went in a big circle, but I cut off some of the ties and eventually it straightened out.These Halloween Icicle lights contain a total of 450 led lights.The lights comes with 3 different icicle drop lengths, either four, five and/or a seven light per sequence.From the outlet to the first drop is an ample 9.84 feet so you can discretely tuck the cords out of sight, nothing ruins a lighting scheme like plugs dangling in midair or lights blinking bringing attention to areas to the areas you would rather not. They are a light orange/tangerine and a lavender/bluish tintBeing more of a pastel color scheme they are quite versatile and would also work in a white Christmas tree, or for the Easter holidays. They are rated for indoor/outdoor use. My only negative comment is that though rated for outdoor use the instructions say that the plug in must have a Covered outlet, so the PLUG IN IS NOT actually water resistant.The lights also must be at least 12 inches from the ground. 4 stars Because of the indoor/outdoor rating is misleading. A good buy if you have covered outlet.My first impression was that the colors were much whiter than the pictures on the order page. There didn't seem to be a lot of dark orange and purple of the Amazon picture. I spread out some of the lights on the carpet and it did look better then. I put up the lights last night and they really look good. They give off a nice glow. The picture doesn't do it full justice.My one complaint is there were no instructions for which I deducted one star. You get a device with it but no instructions on how to use the device. I pulled the little piece of plastic off the device and tried to use it. Nothing happened. I tried punching numbers hoping something would happen - but nothing. I tried to use the dimmer buttons, but the lights stayed the same. There are a 6-hour, 8-hour and 6639H (whatever that is) which I did not try as I used my own timer. The lights work without this device but so far, I have not been able to figure out how to use the device.I wanted these to hang on an outdoor canopy for a party I was having. I knew they were a little long for that, but I liked the colors. When they arrived, I was happy to see that they were actually two strands that hooked together (and you get 2 remotes.) I just needed one. They looked very nice on the canopy and added a nice party look to a boring patio. You can set them to different patterns. I usually choose steady on because flashing can drive me crazy, but there was a few nice fading patterns that made them seem like they twinkled. I know some people like all purple as it seems more eerie, but I liked the mixture of colors.Overall they are very nice. You get so many in the box and I had no trouble with them being tangled out of the box. I don't think my husband was too careful taking them down, so I dread untangling them next year, though!These lights are well made. The icicle portions are all strapped securely with ties and are easy to separate. The glow on full brightness is really bright. You are able to disconnect the two sections of lighting from the main line that plugs into the wall in order to make it easier to hang or if you just need a shorter line of lights. At the end of the 2 strands, there is a connection if you need to add additional sets. The plug is located in the center of the 2 strands. The remote is a great feature which allows you to change between 8 different settings as well as turn the lights off/on or increase/decrease the brightness. I highly recommend these lights for both quality and value!This is my first time getting these types of lights and wish I had discovered these sooner. They have a crazy starting length for the plug, so you don't have to use an extension cord at all. They easily connect to other lights, even a different brand with similar features. I connected three strands together and all are on the same light setting as well as, the built timers. They are so easy to operate simply choose your favorite light setting, set the timer and go. They have even turning on and off by themselves, 6hrs on 18 off, as promoted by the seller. I never have to worry about remembering to turn off the lights any longer!
